Summer Programs are out of this world!

This summer, the Worthington Library is participating in the state-wide summer reading program, STARSHIP ADVENTURE at Your Library. From rockets to women astronauts, there will be something for everyone -- stay tuned for more details. It's time to sign up, so come on in.

Michael Tougias speaks on the Quabbin

Please join us for this excellent narrated slide presentation about Quabbin Reservoir. The program features the demise of the lost towns flooded to create the Quabbin, the construction of the massive reservoir and how the Quabbin works today. Tougias' slides include before and after images of the lost towns, workers building the dams and aqueduct, the grand opening of the reservoir, wildlife of the Quabbin, unique natural places, and favorite trails and entrance gates. The author will have copies of his books available.

Let's Talk About It: Love and Foregiveness

Worthington Library is honored to host Let's Talk About It: Love and Forgiveness in the Light of Death, a book discussion series sponsored by a grant from the American Library Association and the Fetzer Institute. Pastel Workshop on March 28

March 28 from 1:00 - 3:00 the Worthington Library will be hosting award-winning pastel painter Gregory Maichack with The Art of Pastel Painting: Picturing America. All materials are included: pastels, Cason pastel paper, and pastel pencils. Seating may fill quickly so please register soon to reserve your place.

Magic at the Worthington Library

MARCH IS FULL OF MAGIC AT THE LIBRARY

On March 14 from 10:30 to 11:30, Ed Popielarczyk, popular local magician will be treating kids to a March Magic Show! Come one, come all and be amazed - learn new tricks to amaze your friends and family. Don't miss out; be at the library. Library updates for the new year

After a long month without internet access due to storm damage, the Worthington Library has finally reconnected - with DSL! Now you can use the library's computers or your own to get on the internet with lightning speed. Come in and try it out. You'll be amazed.

On another note, the library will be closed for repairs from January 20 through 24. We need to replace the beams that hold up the first floor and we need your help! This is an unplanned and costly repair but one which will keep us all safe and sound. Please help by sending a contribution to the Worthington Library, P.O. Box 598, Worthington MA 01098. Note on your envelope, "Hold up the library!"
